A training session was conducted 6–7 May, 2025 for the LED Forum Committees in Garowe and Qardho, focusing on key components of strategic planning. The training covered the full strategy development process, including the formulation of SMART objectives and the design of corresponding activities aligned with the committees’ own visions.
Participants were also trained in stakeholder analysis, including stakeholder mapping based on levels of interest and power—identifying stakeholders with high interest and low power, as well as those with low interest and high power.
In addition, the training addressed essential aspects of implementation planning such as roles and responsibilities, means of verification, and the identification of assumptions and risks. This included clarifying who is responsible for each task, the supporting individuals or entities involved, how to verify the completion of tasks, and the key assumptions and potential risks associated with the planned activities.
The training was delivered by an expert from VNG International (VNGI).
